2 years ago i made a post on here listing all the reasons i thought she was a 4w3 but hoooly **** i was so wrong. i’ve learnt more about enneagram now and i can’t see her as anything other than a 2, perhaps a social 7. to completely tear down my last argument: where’s her shame? where’s her need to be unique? where’s her artistry and envy? where’s the sense that her suffering sets her apart from others? there is none. kiki loves being helpful, prioritises other people’s needs, wants to fit in and be accepted NOT by standing out or being different! she doesn’t dwell in her emotions or try and make sense of their meaning. there’s no element of tragedy or the ache of longing that most fours feel. she’s simply too cheerful, full of optimism and the desire to be USEFUL and to FIT IN with the people in Koriko. she actually feels bad about her dress being ugly not because she’s a 4 and wants to feel unique, but because she wants to FIT IN and assimilate with the group of girls she sees walk past. she feels different, yes, but she doesn’t enjoy that feeling (like a four!) 2w1 or 2w3 i can totally see. perhaps social 7 too. 4w3 i have no idea what i was thinking bro. i think the feel of the film is very 4w3… all about finding yourself and your place in the world… but KIKI HERSELF is not like that and does not behave in this way. lowkey hard for me to write bc i’m an ENFP 4w3 and she’s been my comfort character who i relate to for sooo long. but the 4 just isn’t there, imo. watch josh keefe’s youtube video on “The enneagram explained with movie characters” or read his comment here for more opinions on how kiki is a 2!
