Edit: Please read the comments if you're interested in this discussion, I jumped too quick on the e3 lol Why would he be an e8? Aside from 8 being an enneagram heavily correlated to Se, he definitely seems more of an e3 to me, with 3s core motivation being recognition and to make a name for themselves, being respected and known by all, fearing worthlessness. I really like this description from The Enneagram Institute: "We have named personality type Three The Achiever because when they are healthy, Threes really can and do achieve great things in the world. They are the 'star' of human nature, and people often look up to them because of their graciousness and personal accomplishments. Healthy Threes know how good it feels to develop themselves and contribute their abilities to the world, and also enjoy motivating others to greater personal achievements than others thought they were capable of." I think this is very fitting for him, with the huge accomplishments he's made and the people he has touched and made allies. While I do think he relates to 8, it isn't possible. I think 8 is more fitting in his tritype, which I consider to be 387. I am still open to e8 arguments or any complaints about what I've just said.
