since ESTP votes have been rising recently, i mostly wanna address why i dont think it works for him. this may also address aux Se by association, but Se dom fundamentally doesnt suit karma. (1/4) from what ive gathered on this page, karma gives off an Se impression due to some factors including spatial awareness, adaptability, & impulsivity. firstly, i wanna note that karmas not as impulsive as ppl think. on the contrary, hes seen looking down on others for being too impulsive. regardless, none of these traits are exclusive to Se. theyre exclusive mainly to high Pe users. both Ne & Se are very adaptable to their environment, they have an outward orientation so they both have decent spatial awareness, & both could be prone to impulsivity (albeit, for different reasons). saying that karma has Se bc hes flexible, adaptable, or spontaneous is not an argument for Se. this reasoning equally applies to Ne, as both functions are defined by these common attributes due to their extraverted nature. its also extremely important to note that the capacity to make observations within the environment does *not* make someone an Se user (let alone an Se dom). every human being with working eyes is capable of making observations. externally speaking, exploring ur environment & by association, making observations within it, is just a part of extraverted perceiving nature (Ne & Se). the differentiation lies within *how* someone makes said observations. jung himself even notes how similar Ne is to Se: - "But since intuition, in the extraverted attitude, has a prevailingly objective orientation, it actually comes very near to sensation; indeed, the expectant attitude towards outer objects may, with almost equal probability, avail itself of sensation." (jung on Ne) however, even with their similarities, theyre still distinguishably different. the main difference falls within their actual perception: - "Upon the lower levels this is the man of tangible reality, with little tendency either for reflection or commanding purpose. To sense the object, to have and if possible to enjoy sensations, is his constant motive." (jung on Se) - "When he 'senses', everything essential has been said and done. Nothing can be more than concrete and actual; conjectures that transcend or go beyond the concrete are only permitted on condition that they enhance sensation." (jung on Se) - "As a function its sole criterion of value is the strength of the sensation as conditioned by its objective qualities. Accordingly, all objective processes, in so far as they release sensations at all, make their appearance in consciousness. It is, however, only concrete, sensuously perceived objects or processes which excite sensations in the extraverted attitude." (jung on Se) - "The ideal of extraverted sensation types is to be well adjusted to reality, things as they are, as they see and experience them." (daryl sharp on Se) - "Where extraverted sensation seeks the highest pitch of physical realism, extraverted intuition strives to apprehend the widest range of possibilities inherent in the objective situation. To the former, an object is simply an object; the latter goes right past its outer appearance and fastens on what could be done with it, how it might be used." (daryl sharp on Se vs Ne) - "He actually has sensations, but he is not guided by them per se, merely using them as directing-points for his distant vision. They are selected by unconscious expectation. Not the strongest sensation, in the physiological sense, obtains the crucial value, but any sensation whatsoever whose value happens to become considerably enhanced by reason of the intuitive's unconscious attitude." (jung on Ne) - "A fact is only valued so long as it opens up new and more important prospects, which in their turn will liberate the individual. Sudden possibilities become compelling motives which the intuitive mind cannot disregard, and for which it may sacrifice everything else." (van der hoop on Ne) - "A sensation type would call this object a bell, but a <extraverted intuitive> would imagine all sorts of things you could do with it ... Intuition is therefore the capacity for intuiting that which is not yet visible, future possibilities or potentialities in the background of a situation. The extraverted intuitive type applies this to the outer world, and therefore will score very high in surmising the future outer developments around him." (von franz on Ne) valued Se is a very straightforward no bs function, especially when its dominant. it sees what it sees exactly for what it is, no strings attached, no underlying meanings & no potentialities. to put it simply, it takes in concrete, present moment, raw data at face value. valued Ne is somewhat similar, but rather than putting its focus on the datas outer appearance, it instead searches for the potential of it. it looks for the possibilities that the person/thing/environment could be holding. 전기
Karma Akabane (赤羽 業 カルマ , Akabane Karuma) is a student in Korosensei's Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School who had been suspended from school due to his violent behavior and one of Nagisa's closest friends. Karma is well-known throughout the school for his violent behavior and troublesome attitude. He is quite cunning, mischievous, and somewhat sadistic, usually playing foul, tricking, and at times manipulating, humiliating and fighting others. He has been described by Karasuma as "at first glance, he comes across as being a lazy sort, but there's a strong sense of mischief in his eyes", and Itona has described him to have "certain vision" to Terasaka.
