This guy was the epitome of Ne. He got interested in making a hydrogen bomb not because he thought it would be more efficient from a Te perspective, but because Fermi casually mentioned the possibility and Teller, ignoring that Fermi said it wouldn't really work, became caught up with the new possibility and got bored by regular atomic bombs. He was always the one who had the overly optimistic ideas when everyone else thought it would be a nightmare logistically.
