Definitive Edition pretty much confirmed the theory that he is Ontos, the third Aegis next to Malos (Logos) and Pneuma. The name is fitting considering Ontos roughly means "that which is true" considering his interactions with Shulk, and how he tells him to "find the one, true Monado". That sword is probably going to see a model change to accommodate his red core crystal in the DE version. Edit: No red Aegis Core Crystal in the True Monado. MONOLITHSOFT, I am disappoint.
