There was an entire scene showing his inf. Fe When Reyn gets a hold of the Monado and swings it all willy nilly almost 'cutting' Fiora with it, Shulk's reaction wasn't to see if Fiora was okay, instead the Monado. He was confused by the lack of concern for her because he knew that Fiora was okay because the Monado can't hurt living beings and he could see that she wasn't hurt. Basically just a great scene showing off inf Fe, which showed more concern over the object that could be damaged, over than the person that he should be caring about who was clearly quite startled by the whole situation.
