Her writing and overall personality are extremely Ne+Fi. I am not sure about ENFP over INFP because I don't know her irl, but I'll try to demonstrate my point. Ne dominant The most defining trait of her novels is the boundless imagination, references and interconnections. She enjoys exploring the intricacy and complexity of morality, seeing it from multiple points of view, manifesting in moral grayness due to the multifaceted nature of Ne. This is why I see NeFi over FiNe, since I think Ne is her primary cognitive process. She also likes taking cultural anecdotes & traditions and connecting it to the themes of the novel, which is also typical of Ne/Si axis. The way Ne authors write stories is like creating and expanding a world in a loosely interconnected way. I think this is the most obvious in TGCF, where the subplots seem unrelated but are in fact connected in the ending. She said on her private account that the best part of creating a story is writing the outline, because during that process imagination can run free, while cutting down on possibilities is harder, sometimes completely changing the storyline. She has an extremely skeptical view of people as a collective, while putting more faiths in people as individuals, reminding me of George Carlin's (ENFP) approach to human nature. MXTX seems to care less about what the protagonists actually achieve in the external world, but more on sticking to one's personal ideal and morality. People in CN fandom have accused her of being elitist, but I think that's simply misunderstanding. She doesn't distrust ordinary people; instead, she is skeptical of group-think and "the masses", typical of high Fi users . Mian Mian and Xiao Ying are ordinary individuals but their inner strengths are incredible. Yin Yu is a "commoner" compared to the more gifted gods, but his moral principles are admirable even for Xie Lian, the very talented MC. The mob in MDZS are despicable for slaughtering innocent wen remnants not because they're ordinary and unremarkable, but because they have lost their individual moral compass and independent thinking. Being wary of the masses has nothing inherently to do with elitism, esp. when the integrity of ordinary people as individuals is over praised by the narrative.
