Cutest character in the whole show! Definitely a 9: falls asleep in a ditch in the middle of war, mentally blinds himself so his inner peace isn’t disturbed any further, is terrified of violence, isn’t assertive of his opinions, and gets lost in his own little world. (“Blithe? Blithe! BLITHE!!”) INFP: Fi: Albert holds his own values, regardless of others’ standards or beliefs. Despite the Germans being dubbed “the enemy,” he views them as humans, unlike his comrades. When Speirs tells him that a real soldier functions without mercy, compassion, or remorse, Albert glares at him. This is the only time we see Albert disagree or oppose anyone (even passive-aggressively), which means his values and beliefs in human kindness are extremely important to him. Additionally, Albert becomes easily overwhelmed by his feelings, often crying due to the intensity of war, or becoming so terrified he can’t move. Ne: Muck: “Well I know a guy, who said an eyewitness told him that Speirs posed those prisoners!” Blithe: “Why? What for?” Albert finds value in the knowledge of various things, such as the meaning of edelweiss, and knowing why Lieutenant Speirs shot the prisoners instead of taking it at face value. Si: Despite the fact that Albert does not agree with Lieutenant Speirs opinion on what a “true soldier” is, he still values the advice due to the importance of his Si. Additionally, Albert enjoys the familiarity of edelweiss, and is able to identify and recall what it means and looks like. **Sorry, my Si argument isn’t very good 😭** Te: Albert struggles with his Te throughout the episode, by becoming so overwhelmed that he cannot carry out his duties. It is not until the end of the episode, that he utilizes his Te to lead his patrol before getting shot.
