I completely agree with others thoughts and insights of him being an INTJ. :) His Ni helps him spot connections in important situations, such as In Darnay’s first trial of noticing the resemblance between the two, and with Te making a structured argument for his reasoning that saved Darnay. Because of this, he emphasizes to himself how he could have been like Darnay if he lead a more “honorable” life (Ni-Fi). He has unhealthy Fi-Se such as using alcohol as a coping mechanism to deal with his internalized self hatred. He has very strong Fi which isn’t noticed in the same way Fe would be in his love for others, since it is internal, his deep loyalty and love for others is seldom said, but done in action, and mostly in secret. (Spoiler warning!D:) He uses Ni-Te to strategize his plan to save Darnay and take his place. His heart moving monologue in the end of the book of the future he dreams to be the outcome for his friends, of his huge sacrifice and a better world they can live in with a young boy to live the life he wished he did (Ni-Fi). I love Sydney Carton so much. “The foots steps died out”, but the sound they left will always linger. <3
