Sure Nishi has Si but shes Fi dom rather than Si dom Here’s why i think so Firstly, for the people saying she uses Si for her big comfort zone. Yes, Nishi relies on her Si for comfort and security but that is something Si tert does more than Si dom. Si doms will use Si as a primary function for navigating her daily life instead. Therefore Si tert>Si dom. Fi>Fe She prioritises emotional accuracy and authenticity over emotional harmony and social flow. With others, she would always say exactly what she wants to instead of what others want to hear. She talks very little but when she does she tries to make sure she honestly and correctly says everything she feels. You can see this in her conversations with her friend Honda and other characters as well. She consistently withdraws to process feelings privately and struggles to respond until she truly knows what she personally feels. An example is In ep7 —> she shows how she cares about crafting the perfect text before sending to yamada. She wants to get across exactly what she wants to say without caring too much about how long it takes or matching yamada’s tone and speed. She then explains clearly to him about her true reasoning even if the timing might seem odd since her main goal is to express herself. Additionally, her explanations to him add on to the point of her being ideal heavy and lowkey be explaining half the reason of INFP flakiness as well. “I always overthink things and worry that i might’ve said something weird or make a mistake so I take forever to reply. And on top of that, i tend to send really long texts.” “I overthink because I’m afraid of failing” “i wish i didn’t overthink so much” This makes it seem like I’m saying Fe users don’t overthink but no I’m only showing WHAT she is mainly concerned about — which is how SHE is perceived. In a group settings —> Her main concern isn’t about flowing with the group or fitting in. She doesn’t feel responsible to join in the group or going with the flow in conversations. Even if Nishi wants to join in a group environment it is less about emotional connection or harmony within the group but more due to her ideals and about the person she is wants to be. An example is In ep5 —> Around the end of Nishi and her friend Honda’s conversation about tani and his relationship with suzuki’s friends, they say — Honda: It’d be nice if you could join in too Nishi: I don’t want to join in Honda: You say that, but you care a lot about tani kun. That means you’re envious of him. Because he’s close to the person you want to be Nishi: I see. Is that so? It seems so. Honda: it is so. Then later, Nishi says “I thought I wanted to fix my shyness but actually I just wanted to be a part of that lively atmosphere” “They look up to him.” (referring to tani) There are a lot more examples but in summary you can see how almost all of her scenes are her worrying about how SHE is perceived by another person and her expressing herself correctly rather than social harmony. This is connected to her reasons for shyness. One of the main reasons she talks so little is due to her being worried shes unable to express her many thoughts. This is stated by herself in Ep5 “so many thoughts come into my head but I can never express them well” Her conflict is identity confusion rather than social confusion She cares about understanding her feelings very clearly and explores every possible situation. In episode 7 Nishi and Honda discuss about nishi’s true feelings. Nishi talks about every other possibilities for why she’s nervous around Yamada. Honda tells her “there’s no point in comparing Yamada to someone who doesn’t exist. ‘What am i supposed to do if that’s the case’ it’s just something you made up in your head.”“Instead of worrying about what ifs, it’s better to worry about reality” Nishi is proven to overthink too many possibilities for a situation. She struggles to express herself due to having too many thoughts + not understanding herself well + her desire to express everything properly. That just seems like classic Fi-Ne 💀 Si dom Ne inf would be more cautious and selective, focusing on the relevant options rather than constantly exploring endless possibilities of their own emotions and situations. This proves Nishi’s Ne aux rather than Ne inf. If she was an ISFJ her reason for being shy would lean more towards concern for others, social flows, or being a burden rather than about being unable to express herself the way she wants. Lastly, a point to consider even if you may think it’s unimportant, is Nishi’s humour and how easily it is triggered. A main trait of Nishi is how easily she laughs at situations. Ne humour leans towards reacting to factors such as wordplay, unexpected situations, situational irony. Nishi is seen to mainly laugh at these factors. If Nishi was Si dom Ne inf, her humour would be a less significant part of her character and would be harder define. This shows she is more likely to have Ne aux rather than Ne inf.
