He is extremely attachment-coded, does things "as he should" against his emotional needs and makes a Prussian image to others, to seem cold and detached "ideal soldier" to Porky and his enemies. I actually find it interesting he has the same Enneagram as Lucas. Except that Claus never had a chronic fear throughout his arc, but he was probably deceived by Porky who rebuilt him into a different person.
