[1/2] -Kafka ET argument- Although her consensus remains ENTJ/ET(N), multiple different takes have arised ever since her release, EN(T) or ES(T) for example, the latter one being the most competitive currently. However, despite seeing how ES, EN, or even EF could be considered for Kafka, I still believe ET to be a better fit for her. So, here I present my Kafka ET argument. This is a short argument, but I hope it will be enough to begin to express the ET Kafka take on this page. Note : I'm aware intuitive preference is also debated for Kafka. Eventually, I think I'll modify this argument to include my thoughts on why N>S for Kafka. I do have some thoughts on the matter already, but I don't feel like writing them right now, so I'll just focus on Kafka's dominant process. But, what exactly is Extroverted Thinking ? "Extraverted thinking is the thinking function that is objective (being extraverted). Extraverted thinking often places information such as facts in high order; it is a process that is concerned with organisation and hierarchy of phenomena." "In accordance with his definition, we must picture a, man whose constant aim -- in so far, of course, as he is a [p. 435] pure type -- is to bring his total life-activities into relation with intellectual conclusions, which in the last resort are always orientated by objective data, whether objective facts or generally valid ideas. This type of man gives the deciding voice-not merely for himself alone but also on behalf of his entourage-either to the actual objective reality or to its objectively orientated, intellectual formula. By this formula are good and evil measured, and beauty and ugliness determined. All is right that corresponds with this formula; all is wrong that contradicts it; and everything that is neutral to it is purely accidental." Here is basically a sum-up of what extroverted thinking is according to Jung. Personally, reading that, I find this to be very fitting for Kafka, but I understand how that might not be the case for everyone, so I'll try to explain. Kafka is a character that, despite her laid-back attitude (which I would attribute to her enneagram), is actually very rational and methodical. Out of all the Stellaron Hunters we know of, she is clearly the most reasoned one. Wherehas Blade can easily get caught up in his own feelings(remember this ain't a Blade argument please spare me) and personal judgement, and SW is often prone to childish shenanigans, Kafka always has her mind clear and set on following Elio's order. Because that is the extroverted formula Kafka follows. Kafka, like I said, is a character that is noticeably rational (in the convential sense of the word). She has an objective, pragmatic judgement of things. To the point I sometimes find her to look like a human to-do list, constantly reminding what the state of things are according to Elio, and what there is to do/what must be done. She constantly brings things back to what is demanded of Elio, what is according to "intellectual conclusions, which in the last resort are always orientated by objective data, whether objective facts or generally valid ideas." "This type of man gives the deciding voice-not merely for himself alone but also on behalf of his entourage-either to the actual objective reality or to its objectively orientated, intellectual formula" This part is not as important but might aswell mention Kafka is constantly the being the deciding voice of the group, reminding them of what must be done. She's the one most in touch with Elio, most in touch with what is objectively better, the conclusions that must be followed.
