9s are more likely to blank out their minds to avoid the negativity, they're more likely to fall into apathy. Their vice is even called "sloth" or "acedia" as they avoid introspection or looking into what might hurt them. This apathy also means that their experience of pleasure and passion is also decreased. The word used for them is 'narcotization'. 7s are more likely to try and override any source of misery with fun, more like Kafuka does. Being part of the 'aggressive' triad instead of the 'withdrawn' triad like 9s, 7s are more likely to avoid this misery in a more proactive way, but I don't think this has to mean that they over-indulge in physical pleasures or such. The vice for 7s is 'gluttony' and unlike 9s, who are complacent, 7s are actively seeking out the extraordinary, and have an 'insatiable appetite' (I see this through the ideas that she comes up with, as she tries to make everything more grandiose than it actually is. She might not be physically seeking out what is extraordinary, but she tries to bring it into her own life). I think the 7 description sounds more fitting of Kafuka than the 9.
