— ENFP SX7 IEE ELFV [1/6] There was too much information to add and people had already replied to the old post which throws off the fluidity of parts, so I’m reposting everything as one. Whoop! The first argument that can be made against ESFP is that Doja is a textbook SX7. This subtype is focused on the need to imagine more than what’s in front of you, needing constant pleasure and excitement to distract from mundane reality: “This character is constantly living in the world of possibilities, and because of their instinct they tend to merge with whatever ideas, plans, or people they come into contact with. Their focus shifts towards an attempt to live in an extraordinary state of exaltation, it is an idealization filled with hope and possibility, they are suggestible in the sense of being easily swayed and impacted. They have a need for distraction, a need for a constant state of euphoria, which is why they constantly and obsessively change their plans and decisions, being impulsive with their minds, they can’t stand in the same situation for long. They express Gluttony through a need to imagine something better than ordinary reality.” (1) DOJA: “There is a connection in being at a window inside a car while driving across the country. Or being in a window seat in a plane on your way to Italy and looking out the window and just being like "there’s nothing out there, but if there can be anything out there..." And that’s how I felt when I was little, I was always looking out. On that trip from New York to California, I was always looking out the window, kind of imagining like “Oh my God what if there were dragons flying through the clouds and through the mountains” and looking out the window and being like *“there’s nothing out there, but if there could be anything out there…"* It made me feel really good, just being in that moving vehicle and looking out the window and being like wow, *this has been for miles just mountains and I can add anything to that or just completely unsee that and just let my mind kind of wander.*” While it's mentioned that she did this as a child, I add the quote because it’s something that’s been a recurring theme later on in her life (she also mentions flying which implies she still does this as an adult) as well as in her current creative process: “When it came to like coming up for ideas for videos, I would write all of my treatments on the plane and nowhere else. Something about being in the clouds and being stuck in the sky and like looking at the sky at such a close range is one of the most surreal feelings of all time. *I would come up with stuff pretty easily just looking at the nothingness of the sky or space or the cloud, it's very inspiring.”* “I can do so much more than be a pop star. I can write something meaningful and open up a world for people to escape to. I think that’s the epitome of art in my opinion when you see an artist who can create a world and a story. I want to do that the best that I can because I feel like it would make me whole to create a story for people to attach to and make their own meaning through. When it comes down to it, I’m a writer. I don’t have to sing. I can create worlds.” You’re probably thinking... well anyone can be imaginative. And while yes, that’s most definitely true, the SX7 uses imagination to avoid pain and suffering. It is entirely disconnected from any unpleasant feelings and uses its mind to protect itself. In the quotes about Doja imagining things out of her window, it circles back to something stressful in that moment; On her trip from New York to California, she doesn’t know where she’s going and doesn’t want to leave New York. She also recounts being afraid of flying and uses her imagination to cope: “I write treatments on the plane a lot because I could possibly die a horrible death. I hate flying, so when I’m on the plane I’m like “what’s the coolest thing that could happen?” > "Since childhood, fantasy has been his great companion in adventures. Based in Los Angeles, she signed a recording contract with RCA Records in 2014, subsequently releasing her debut extended play, Purrr, and series of singles, including “Go To Town”, “So High” and “Tia Tamera”. Doja Cat rose to prominence in 2018 with her single “Mooo!”, which became a viral success on YouTube.
