Almost in every episode she mentions how much it disappoints her to see Karuta players not caring about the meanings of the poems. When Lady Sei Shonagon is read, she looks for Kiyohara no Motosuke as well as Lady Murasaki Shibu. Kana values the meaning and history behind every card" During her matches, the emphasis is heavily on the fact that her Karuta style is about recognizing cards by the personal meanings and images she created in her head. She values each card individually whilst giving each one of them special purposes. Aside from her playing style, there are also scenes where she connects poems to real life situations in a metaphorical way (When she realized Taichi's love for Chihaya and connected it to one of the poems) She realized inner meanings and beauty of tradition and poems and treasure them for this reason.
Biografia
The first member Chihaya and Taichi recruit into the karuta club. Is passionate about traditional clothing and classical poetry, which is what motivated her to join the club in the first place.
