Scott Walker is a very intriguing and enigmatic character. He seems and talks about himself (on the rarest occasion) as very introverted and imaginative. But it is not the flamboyant, chaotic Ne type of imaginings, but rather the singular, personal and vision-based imaginations. He describes composing in a way of centering on a "character" who goes through a certain experience. A person exploring the world of ideas or a setting. Like a story, but in a dreamy way. This screams high Ni to me. Walker also talked about deriving a lot of meaning from mundane stuff. This is the Ni- Se dynamic at play. The infinite mulling over the data, seeing the global pattern. He is also very focused in on his own vision. He goes his own way, and it comes naturally, not in an opposition, like for xxxPs. It is just in his way of being. This slow-moving, highly individual and creative piece of work. I think all this points towards a high Ni user, and possibly Fi, because of the more artistic and personal imaginations, rather than the more scholarly Ni-Ti way that INFJs often seem to possess. Walker generally seems quite alien to me, but in a subtle way. He doesn't say anything very strange, and he seems kinda dry in the way he talks. But still, he seems kinda not human. I actually find this to be the case for several other INxJ types, especially INTJs. I would be inclined to explain this through, not only the fact that he is highly introverted and introverted-intuitive, but also compounded by the Te- dryness. This cold, matter-of-fact way of submitting to the external world. He is very straightforward in many ways, and seems to have an interest in the objects rather than the subjects of the world around him. There is no heavy sign of Fe, wanting to accommodate or influence others directly. His interest in motivation and feelings seems directed inwards, the Fi way. So there is this strong inner Ni-Fi world of moving will and passion, that makes him seem detached and dry on the outside (Te, Se). All in all i would say he was an INTJ, and also a talented, esoteric artist. RIP. Sorry if it was a bit long-winded.
