Elizabeth may be one of the best representations of an integrated E4 in film. Wise, emotionally astute, and deeply caring— she represented a side of E4 that (generally) feels overshadowed/neglected by most media sources. * This doesn’t mean that she was devoid of struggle (she detailed her feelings of alienation and “difference” within the film, as well as her feelings of powerlessness amidst the patriarchy), it just means that, for the most part, she displayed an accepting relationship within herself. She found her own feelings of estrangement mirrored by Victor’s creation, and chose to love it in a way she wished she was loved by others.
