it didn’t occur to me how introverted my boyfriend was until his mom said that he used to not see him for days or wouldn’t even know if he was home. she only started to see him when i was there or if he was hungry. he could be in his room for HOURS and HOURS on end just doing his own hobbies or experimenting. he only had one friend that he regularly hung out with, but they would only go to the gym. he was also a childhood friend. not only could INTJs high standards for people get in the way, but my boyfriend used to say he would rather do his own thing instead of hang out with people who want to do their own hobbies. he had a lot of friends in high school, but it was one-sided. sometimes i think i was lucky to meet him, because i don’t know how else i would have ran into him lol. he’s really good with conversation, but other than that, he doesn’t care to make friends. he’s the sweetest and smartest person i’ve met. he just doesn’t care much to socialize or keep in touch with others unless it has to do with education or his hobbies.
