[Unpopular opinion]: I have always liked Felicity, except in season 4, I almost began to hate her character completely. I couldn't stand Earth 1 Laurel from season 2-4 and then when she started growing on me again, she died. Earth 2 Laurel has always been awesome though. Here's the thing, those who loved Earth 1 Laurel were USUALLY (not always) the obsessed comic book nerd Simps that thought everything she did was right and justified and never called her out on her passive aggressive self-righteous B.S. However, Olicity shippers are toxic and have literally sent death threats to Stephen Amells wife, if that's not pathetic I don't know what is. Honestly this show is great but the fanbase is one of the worst ones I have ever seen. I find that shows and movies based on comic books have the most toxic fanbases full of nothing but blind hatred, this applies for both DC and Marvel. And no, I don't worship Felicity and I have always called her out on her BS as well, the same as with every and any character. I never understood the special treatment for either Laurel or Felicity.
