Atlas being an INFJ was a little hard for me to determine from the first book alone. I couldn't differentiate if he was an INFJ or an ENFJ. The second one has convinced me though. Spoilers of course... Atlas proves to be Ni dominant in the way he's constantly calculating the outcomes of situations. When Josh tells him that he wants to live with his dad, Atlas already knows that his dad doesn't want him. He's met Josh's father and already knows that he won't accept him. Not to mention that by the time we meet Atlas in the present, he's built a lot of his life around the hunch of reuniting with Lily. While this remained only a possibility for Lily, Atlas was convinced that it would happen eventually. His Ni allows him to draw precise conclusions from small observations. This is exemplified when Atlas is able to deduce that Theo's crush is a boy after just noticing a slight change in his demeanor. Atlas operates on his intuition and builds his life around it. Fe is the source of Atlas' strongest virtues. He's kind, compassionate and patient, all of which are rooted in his Fe. Other examples of his usage of Fe is in how he sometimes tells lies for the sake of preserving harmony. He lied to Lily about his uncle and about having a girlfriend so she wouldn't worry about him. Atlas also persistently hides the truth about Josh's dad from him to protect his feelings. Another stellar example of Atlas using Ni-Fe is how he refuses to report his restaurant's vandalism to the police. After noticing the croutons missing, Atlas draws a conclusion with his Ni and makes a decision with his Fe. Atlas radiates so much Fe that I was convinced for awhile that he was an Fe dom. Atlas uses Ti particularly in the formation of his opinions. When he writes a letter in the style of Lily's his Ti becomes clear when he describes his upbringing. When Atlas recounts the time he returned to his home, his conclusions are rooted in Ni and Ti. Particularly the ones where he realizes just how little his mother loved him and how he was the only thing keeping the house together. While Fe shows in his interactions with others, Atlas' usage of Ti is shown within his own thoughts and opinions. Atlas using Se is harder for me to identify, he uses so little of it that its hard to pinpoint a few examples of it. He exemplifies the stereotypical impulsiveness of Se on only a few occasions as well, the primary one being where he threatens Ryle after realizing he hit Lily. The other few times I can think of for Se is just the way he observes his surrounding in order for his Ni to function, but then again almost all types use Se in this way. Ultimately, I think this is sufficient evidence to point to Atlas being an INFJ.
