I love her discussions with Frodo; because there’s such beautiful fe fi contrast there; whereas Frodo only does what he does because he feels morally obligated; beyond that he has no desire or intent to look beyond his quest; his lack of ambition leaves him with the simple desire to complete what he feels aligns with his compass; whereas in contrast you have Galadriel who can see beyond it all; and can imagine what she could do with the ring; and further the external affirmation she’d receive; thereby hoping to affirm the external compass of ethics that she has; and thereby affirm herself… it’s absolutely fantastic
Biografia
The Lady of Light, Galadriel is a Noldorin Elf who co-rules Lothlórien as the Lady of Lórien, with her Sindarin husband Lord Celeborn. One of the oldest, mightiest and wisest Elves in Middle-Earth, she is a powerful sorceress (possibly; magic is very rare in Middle-Earth, and her true power, and its nature, are only hinted at) and wields Nenya, the Elven Ring of Water, which aids her people in their fight against Sauron's forces.
