His genuine desire to lay her up before he goes to prison. He’s one of the best examples of an unhealthy ESFJ I have seen in fiction. His story has become less of a joke and more of a tragedy this season which makes Tom a nice contrast to other unhealthy or caricatured ESFJs like David in Mythic Quest and Boyle in Brooklyn 99. I also think it’s interesting that S03 Tom is S02 Kendall. Both SFJs who feel helplessly pulled into these loserish lamb sacrifice type roles, and for what? Power. And a breadcrumb of loyalty and love.
