The soft, supportive, nurse-like way he guides Logan in the bathroom, and mistakes the old confused man’s “Son” as actual affection. The trying-to-hold-it-together faux stoicism he performs while wearing a guillotine around his throat. His sacrificial love for Shiv despite her emotional abuse. His genuine desire to lay her up before he goes to prison. He’s one of the best examples of an unhealthy ESFJ I have seen in fiction. His story has become less of a joke and more of a tragedy this season which makes Tom a nice contrast to other unhealthy or caricatured ESFJs like David in Mythic Quest and Boyle in Brooklyn 99.
