Hello everyone, it took me a while to post this comment but finally, here we are. I would like to kindly express why I think that Yuki (my beloved) is an ISFP rather than an INFJ as he is typed at the time of writing this. Because of this, I will give a fair spoilers warning for Part 3 in this specific comment, but I’m willing to discuss the novel Re:member and Part 2 as well. For starters, I think that just through getting to know how younger Yuki acted should be proof of my argument, or at least some of it. See, Yuki used to be way more direct than he already currently is, and though of course that’s not proof of him being a Fi dom, his reasoning as to why he acted that way shows a clear sign of Fi: Yuki used to think that if people didn’t care or appreciate his art, his music, they weren’t worthy of his time and even less so his kindness or consideration: “I don’t care if they don’t love me. I want everything, from the lowliest of bugs to God himself, to love my songs. Just my songs. I only want the people who’ll treasure my songs to listen to them.” ― Part 3 - Chapter 6.5 He had a foul mouth, went according to his own beliefs first and foremost, and no one but Banri could even come close to him without falling victim to his less than desirable treatment. See, because of this attitude (amongst other things) Yuki himself admitted that he was a lot more similar to Tamaki, another ISFP, in the past. But, of course, Yuki as we know him today hasn’t ever acted like an ISFP! - Except he has. For Yuki didn’t just suddenly grow Fe like a second head, what I think happened is: He simply developed a better, healthier, usage of his Fi. He’s become a lot less harsh, more understanding and overall loving, but all of it is still within the realms of a Fi dom. However, big however, that doesn’t mean his past habits have completely been buried away. During Part 3, when Momo is pulling a classic Momo act and is still keeping in contact frequently with the likes of Ryo Tsukumo, for matters involving things such as Re:vale’s safety, Yuki still frowns upon this trait of his: Yuki: I would never stoop so low as to flatter someone I could barely stomach, just to maintain my position in the industry. And I’m sure Ban wouldn’t either. Momo: ……. You said that on purpose just now, didn’t you. Yuki: I did. I wanted to believe you were the same, Momo. But I guess I was just forcing my ideals onto you. ― Part 3, Chapter 6.2 Momo has always been a person that worries more about others than he worries about himself, and this infuriates Yuki to no end because of the severe extremes he tends to go to just to ensure his safety; this is not Fe however, but just a more developed Fi. With all of this, I would be very happy to discuss further doubts about his MBTI as well as provide more evidence to back up my claims!
