"Que tipo de personalidade é Aventurine / Kakavasha? Aventurine / Kakavasha é um tipo de personalidade em mbti, 7w8 - sp/so - 738 em enneagram, SLUEI em Big 5, LIE em sociônicos."
Aventurine is a self-preservation 7. The main point that people utilize in regards to typing Aventurine as a social 3 is his inferiority complex being masked by an efficient businessman guise. To be quite frank though, this point has little to no merit as almost every enneagram type’s fixation arises from a need to put themselves into a “coign of vantage” in order to ward their insecurities and fallible traits away. Therefore, if this propensity to hide inferiority and/or contact with pain through larping is something contributed to a vast number of enneatypes, then using this point as evidence for a sole type is ultimately a “nothingburger” point. As far as I’m concerned, even the most genuinely prideful type in the enneagram, social 2, has the same methodology as people are pointing out as evidence for social 3–hiding inferiority through ambition, success, and garnering the admiration of others. Yet surely, one who can utilize at least 10% of their frontal lobe’s brain power can tell that social 2 is a blasphemous take for Aventurine holistically, the point remains that this technique of eradicating pain/inferiority is not indicative enough, nor a strong enough point to prove that Aventurine is a social 3. Aventurine’s masking of self is not done through putting up airs of perfection, nor following an Apollonian lifestyle as social 3s do, but instead living an extravagant lifestyle of a bon vivant and compulsive gambling. Aventurine is not known as some efficient businessman, but instead is notorious for his trickery–yet nonetheless charming because of the “playboy” aura that self-preservations exude. He does not conform to others, in fact, quite the opposite. People around him are suspicious of him, yet nonetheless in the end play into his games as he is the king of “stratagems” and a cunning bargainer. It’s needless to say that regardless, self-preservation 7s are casanova’s who seek to become a more interesting people to others to therefore ameliorate their own need for stimulation and pleasure. “You know how rare it is for me to give you the straight dope, so listen while you can. It’s good timing that you mentioned the doctor. I’m especially fond of what you and he have in common, the conspiracies … calculations… especially the part about the finale, a magnificent act of betrayal!” Self-preservation 7s are the kings of networking, and ultimately make connections with others to build a “mafia” where hospitality is granted to the other party in the name of self interest. Aventurine is quick to consider others around him as a “friend”, and even try to tempt them into becoming one of his “friends,” but it is clear to anyone who knows any better just how duplicit the term is when Aventurine is using it–as the term only serves to create a false connection between the two so that he can always extract information from the other party. He advises others to use people as they wish and even stab them in the back, which ultimately shows how unprincipled he is, and reflects his own lack of morality when it comes to friendship in general. This false brotherhood, on top of always boasting about his charitable “friendships,” and how much he would love to make new “friends,” is a trademark indication of the self-preservation 7s gluttony and self-interest. It’s not so much that Aventurine is interested in status in its own right in order to hide his own malaise or insecurities, but more so that status is an accessory to living a more grandiose life–which is, coincidentally, exactly how self-preservation 7s treat it. It’s clear that the idea of gambling is the most valuable thing to Aventurine because of the unpredictabilities that come with it. Both the highs and lows are appealing to him because of how exhilarating they are, as seen in the hobby portion of his voice lines. Aventurine is always occupying himself with the next thrill, next bravado, and next everything–the tendency to risk it all and live life in it’s full saturation is pathological for him, and inevitably his worst flaw because this behavior of his is just a mechanism to escape from his own pain and discomfort–which causes him to be labeled as an “escape artist” by the “future him.” When learning more about Aventurine in the 2.1 story quest, we get some insight into Aventurine’s motives and learn the reasoning as to why Aventurine is so preoccupied with gambling and the constant need for new outcomes or stimuli. Underneath all of the airs that Aventurine puts up, he feels a tumultuous amount of existential angst/anxiety and wonders why anything matters at all if they are just bound to die. Aventurine has known loss from an extremely young age as his family was ripped away from him, and since then has realized just how banal life is despite him being a supposedly blessed being. Thus, with this emptiness and hopelessness, Aventurine envelopes himself in constant highs and lows as all 7s do, to escape the feeling of purposelessness and pain.
