Honestly INTJ? Really? Was the inferior Fe not painfully obvious within the first 23 minutes of the film or the whole of it rather? He understood how bad his social skills were and yet he still tried to make people feel good in his own dorkish ways. And what about that scene where his wife was initiating intercourse but he couldnt coz of the pills and it hurt him so bad when it hurt her. Well it already hurt him that he couldnt respond to her in the first place, so theres that. And what about Si? He literally remembered everything Alicia ever said and recited it back to her word for word. Or how about when he's constantly talking about his experiences or reminiscing about them? Or when he said exactly the same words he responded to Martin back when he first challenged him to othello? And his Ne? He was always looking for connections or patterns what with the football team, the birds, even with the lady that got mugged. He even mentioned his obsession with patterns during his Nobel speech. Or how about when he recognized the trend that he's most likely to get slapped by women during dates? Because based on his past experiences (Si, again. Hello.), whenever he told the truth that he wanted to go straight to getting laid rather than deal with the formalities, he knew he'd get the hand almost every time. The pleasant surprise he got when Alicia didnt and even indulged him. Update for Si, updates for Ne. And what of his Ti? He was always the first to comment whenever he thought something was wrong or inaccurate. He even asked Alicia for proof or verifiable/empirical data about whether or not their relationship was going to be long termed or not. Or how about when he knew going back to the hospital did absolutely nothing for him and he opted to just solve his Schizophrenia by himself? When he learnt that the delusions weren't gonna go away, his solution to the problem was to simply ignore them. He wanted the fix, and he eventually found it through his own means. Now why I think he's 5w4 is because the 5 fear was very obvious, but why the wing 4? It has something more to do with him wanting to distinguish himself from the rest, especially during that time where he was trying to write his doctoral thesis. He needed his work to be different, unique, and he needed it to "matter". Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
