Greek god of justice, retribution, and blood feuds. Alastor is sometimes considered to be the masculine equivalent of the Greek goddess Nemesis. The term "alastor" (literally "avenger" or "he who does not forget") is also used as an epithet of Zeus. Despite this, Alastor is often considered to be a god in his own right. It is believed that Alastor was a son of Themis or Nyx, though this is nowhere stated. He is a relatively obscure god and sometimes interpreted as a personified spirit (daimon) of vengeance, or a household evil genius.
