this one is pretty obvious but i just finished watching season 2 of the bear and i needed to come here and write how much i love this show! i cant believe they were able to outdo themselves and make such a great second season! you can tell how much love goes behind developing a story but not only moving forward a plot but giving every character a chance to shine by themselves. carmy is kinda like the kendall roy of working people, im obsessed with this character he has an evolution that is amazing through the series, he completly evolves from the person he was in season one but staying true to his esence and what makes him, him. which i find incredible endearing. i find comfort in knowin there is characters like him that i bet many people can say 'i get u for real' because as we know, carmy doesnt have it easy, he reflects how gnarly working life can be but damn you just can't stop doing it, because you love doing it, even if it hurts you you are still there pushing through, because otherwise what else do u have to do? spoilers for s2: i absolutely adore the dynamic between syndey and carmy! sydney having a very methodical and creative approach towards what they can achieve in the restaurant, discovering new dishes they can add to the menu and staying focused onto developing the restaurant meanwhile being plagued by anxieties of what could potentially happen in the future. in comparison we get a more laid-ish back carmy, deeply affected by his past and we get to understand why. we see how that has made him the person he is today and its clearly something that still hunts him, carmy is stuck in that moment and is something that he will have to work through eventually. And when a love interest comes to the picture as he says, hes whole system and methodical way of approching his everyday life gets fu cked, its chaos for an already chaotic mind of his! its a little early to comment on this but the last ep of the show leaves u with a enthusiastic sydney having achieved a great opening night, despite de consequences of it, it kinds of reminds me of an early days carmy discovering his potential in the kitchen, meanwhile we stay with a version of carmen almost resembling his brother, carmy has made everything in his life for him, it feels as he isnt living a life of his own.
