She‘s not good in just waiting how things will turn out and is quick to take action by herself instead of waiting for Darlington or Turner when she thinks something needs to be done, so I think that could be an example of high Se. But the Ti is even higher, the whole book is basically about Alex trying to understand what is happening and pointing out the things that don‘t make sense to her. At some points she also knows that Pam needs emotional support (Inf Fe), but she also doesn‘t want to lie to her (which could also be due to her high Ti > not wanting to ignore straight facts just because it would make someone FEEL better). Darlington describes her as someone who has no regrets, but simply wants to survive, which could be an example for the high Ti-Se combination. It‘s simply the most logical thing to focus on in all the chaos that is going on in her life > Ti.
