This page might not be as active as the other pages, but regardless, I’d like to post this so as to raise this possibility. Aside from her MBTI dilemma (in the past), her Enneagram is incorrectly typed. Social 2 for Minako isn’t right. I’ve made this post to show why Social 7 works best for Minako Arisato. I’ll be using the Wiki and Persona 3 Portable as my sources to analyze her character. There isn't much to support her personality since the game depicts her as a non-canon character in the overall series. But regardless, let’s use what we have so far to analyze her. Minako is a silent character in the overall game, but having rather different lines/dialogues from Makoto Yuki, her male counterpart of the game. So, for my reason for this vote, I believe Social 7 (especially 7 core) fits Minako well. Despite being a silent character, her character resonates more of a 7 than a 2. Social 2 or 2 core overall is not fitting. 2 is an image type and is part of the heart triad. 2’s care how they’re perceived and tend to be of service to others (or meet what others want from them) to make themselves loved. So, to ask the question, where does Minako fit in that? None. Throughout the game and even the wiki, Minako doesn’t care about her image. She doesn’t crave to be loved (a trait the heart triad possesses). She is someone who tends to be of service to others, but her motivation is not to be loved—she helps them because she genuinely cares for them, especially for the bonds she’s pursued. There are some descriptions I find notable for Minako’s character: According to Chestnut with Social 7: “They express a kind of ascetic (or Five-ish) ideal. They make a virtue of getting by on less for themselves. In trying to prove their goodness, they typically give others more, and take less for themselves, as a way of going against their gluttonous desire for more. Even though they might want the biggest pieces of cake, they go against that impulse and take the smallest one instead, leaving the larger portions for others.” Minako is someone who tends to go about her life. Throughout the social links and even around SEES, Minako tends to give most of her time to others. Even if it means spending most of her remaining days helping the ones she’s bonded to and with the SEES, Minako helps them because she cares for them and often puts them as her first priority. Rather than focusing on self-indulgence, Minako often puts her time and energy into helping out others because she wants to make everyone happy and suffer less from pain they feel. During Shinjiro Aragaki’s Social Link, Minako genuinely reaches out to Shinji and helps him lessen his pain, even when she had little to no idea what the main factor he’s going through. Actually, taking a look at all the social links she has, all of them face a struggle in themselves, and Minako spends her time helping them out to ease their pain and solve their problems. According to Chestnut with Social 7: “Social Sevens take on a lot of responsibility in the group or the family. In doing this, they express a sacrifice of gluttony for the benefit of others. They postpone their own desires in order to enact an ideal of service. As the name of this subtype suggests, “Sacrifice” means a willingness to be of service.” According to the wiki: “She is also said to be dependable and tough, just like how a leader should be. Although she seems to be always in high spirits, she hides her suffering and burdens, which is why everyone, mostly Junpei Iori and Akihiko Sanada, worries so much about her…” 7’s tend to avoid or hide from pain; they tend to avoid negativity or the pain they feel with the world. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, Minako tends to avoid the negativity and pains she feels. Even after the incident of her parents along with the other events of the game, Minako tends to focus on the positive side of things and puts her attention on others. Minako, deep down, is affected by her own struggles even when it’s not evident. The members of SEES would often be worried about her overall being, for she spends most of her time taking care of them. She acts cheerful and in high spirits, but if you actually think about it, doesn’t this denote the 7’s tendency to act and stay positive so as to avoid their pain? Because here, this is an attitude she holds so as to not have herself affected by the suffering she’s dealt. Even when she acts all right, funny and cheerful, this is what Minako mainly struggles with herself.

The female protagonist of Persona 3, named Kotone Shiomi or Minako Arisato, much like her male counterpart, she is a transfer student enrolling in Gekkoukan High School on Tatsumi Port Island. Her role is non-canonical to the main timeline of the Persona series, and instead is from an alternate timeline.
