Ne curiosity manifesting in Aigis: Inferior Ne in ISFJs isn’t absent — it’s just not their default mode. When it’s healthy and well-developed, it can look surprisingly strong, especially if the character’s arc is literally about expanding beyond their original programming or worldview. In Aigis’s case, her “big questions” about humanity don’t appear right away. They emerge after she’s had enough concrete experiences (Si) to start playing with possibilities (Ne). That’s exactly how a well-integrated ISFJ might grow — the Ne curiosity blooms later, but it’s still rooted in a Si foundation. Why her curiosity could still be Si–Fe with healthy Ne - Sequence matters: She doesn’t start with “What is humanity?” in the abstract. She starts with “I’ve observed X, Y, and Z about humans… what does that mean?” That’s Si gathering → Fe contextualizing → Ne exploring implications. - Scope of her questions: Even when she’s asking about humanity as a whole, she’s doing it through the lens of accumulated precedent — she’s not leaping into pure speculation without grounding. - Growth arc: The more she experiences, the more her Ne gets engaged. By the end, it’s visible enough that it could trick someone into thinking it’s higher in her stack than it actually is. The alternative: Fe–Si (ESFJ) If she were ESFJ, that curiosity might actually show up earlier, because Ne would be tertiary and more accessible. She’d also be more outwardly proactive in initiating those philosophical conversations with others, rather than quietly mulling them over until prompted. Early-game Aigis is much more in “observe and store” mode than “actively engage and explore” mode, which leans ISFJ. Her curiosity about humanity is real and vibrant, but it’s emergent curiosity — the kind that comes from a Si user finally having enough data to start playing with Ne possibilities. That’s why it feels strong late-game but almost absent early-game. If we type her on baseline cognition, she’s still Si-first, Fe-second — ISFJ — with a very healthy Ne by the end.
ชีวประวัติ
Aigis (Aegis) is a playable character from Persona 3. She is an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon (supposedly the last one in existence) and a member of S.E.E.S. who attends Gekkoukan High School as well. She's also the protagonist of The Answer/Episode Aigis, the epilogue of Persona 3, and Aegis: The First Mission, a mobile game spin-off. Before the events from the game, she becomes inactive for 10 years and reactivates for a seemingly unknown reason when the team vistis Yakushima. Aigis' initial personality is simply that of an emotionless robot designed to obey orders, although she is drawn to the protagonist and states that it's very important for her to be by their side. Throughout the game's events she slowly becomes more and more human, beggining to struggle to understand her newfound emotions and the meaning of her existence.
