I’m really liking his big Fe energy so far. His crew is very comfortable around him. He goes out of his way to make them feel heard and valued. The bridge is a more laid-back environment than we are accustomed to on Star Trek. He is an expert at diplomacy and recognizes others needs easily, which is why he is such an asset as a captain. There are several examples each episode, but a little one that jumped out at me was in episode 9. The away team inundates him with information regarding the shipwreck and he replies with “Clearly I brought the right people for the job.” Before processing what his crewmates have actually said, he notices that they demonstrated their expertise. His focus remains on the group. Now the perceiving axis is less obvious. I’m not completely certain about the Ni-Se axis, so this is most subject to change next season. How much of his focus on his future is due to his premonition? I think anyone would be inclined to be a bit more reckless and future-oriented if they had such confusing information thrust upon them. However, I’m still going with Ni-Se because he does seem to take in sensory information more objectively and in Spock Amok he had the stereotypical Ni “Ah ha” moment in which he figured out the alien’s species' game before anyone else. He was the first to look behind the aliens’ oddities and put the pieces together. It’s not a lot to go off of, like I said, but there’s just no indication of Si or Ne as of yet, so it’s my best guess.
