Was trying to find a comment explaining sp6, though, I realised that there might’ve been more E6 voters that didn’t vote on instinctual variants and so the sp/sx voters are the ones voting for E9. Just a thought, but that would make the most sense to me, because i really don’t understand how that many people would people think he is sp6. Like, even if he was a 6, sp is probably the last one I’d consider. There’s no way an sp6 would be as mean to everyone, especially someone who is making an effort to befriend them and giving them gifts the way Shane is. I mean an sp6 wouldn’t be mean at all… (If I’m wrong about the sp6 voters and and one of them is reading this, pls explain the reason cause i don’t understand it at all) Anyways, pretty obvious sp 9w8, he is clearly numb to his feelings and finds comfort and distraction in drinking and activities like taking care of animals and (I don’t remember if he ever says it, but its pretty implied) watching a lot of TV. A lot of people associate 9s with agreeableness which is true a lot of the time, but thats not what defines E9. 9s have a passion for sloth so their usual agreeableness is just a byproduct of their main objective, which is escaping difficult situations and conflict, and agreeableness is more of an so9 and maybe sx9 thing more than sp, because their escape is more related to people and while sp is related to physical needs, just like sp6 are nicer and more agreeable then other 6s because their safety is related to people. Shane does the same thing when scaring people away by not connecting with people, it’s still for the purpose of avoiding difficult situations and you really see this in his actions outside just the scaring people away. This allows him to continue staying numb and not be forced to analyse or acknowledge his feelings. He is also clearly not a 6 because nothing he does really brings him safety in any way just escape. If he was a 6 his actions would be to gain security in one way or another (depending on subtype), but he doesn’t believe in any ideology or set of rules that he believes will keep him safe like so6 and he doesn’t try to appear strong and assertive and definitely isn’t doing it with the purpose that power and respect leads to safety. He’s intimidating but he doesn’t use intimidation as some “offence is the best defence” strategy, he is just mean so people leave him alone hence, sloth > fear. I already explained why sp6 don’t make sense. So, he doesn’t fit any 6 subtypes. Definitely also an SLI, he prioritises physical comfort more then anything, and his logical is very straightforward, he doesn’t complicate things or rely on any logically constructed rules for his decisions, very high Si and Te. He isn’t expressive or acknowledge emotional atmosphere at all and neither does he care to, so out of all the functions Fe PoLR makes the most sense. He also seems to have ok Fi especially later in his storyline as he starts really appreciate your relationship with him and his relationship with Jaz (very sweet), so you can see some valued Fi as well.
