[Old] I don't think Tsurugi is enneagram 1. His dream of "achieving an ideal world" appears e1-like, but I firmly believe he is enneagram 8 in his methods and what he does throughout the game. He's not resentful towards others for not being perfect, he's always angry towards himself because he failed to protect those he sees as weaker than him (his classmates). This resentment doesn't go unexpressed at all, in fact he's *too* outward with his anger to the point of seeing no problem with telling everyone to kill themselves for him, because in his eyes they're preliminary criminals and don't fit under "people he should protect". Sure I get he has a skewed moral compass but it's not quite "I have to improve everything and everyone sucks for not doing the same", it's "I have to protect other people and if I don't I'm not worthy to live". He literally endorses dictatorship as being a good thing. I just can't read these e8 descriptions without thinking "Kinjo" immediately. He appears e1-*like*, but is not. Fixation Vengeance The process of rebalancing wrongs through thoughts related to anger, blame, and intimidation Trap Justice Being aware of living in a very injust world, they are sensitive to any unfair actions or thoughts directed at them. The immediate response is that of revenge. Holy Idea Holy Truth Once the seeker for justice realizes that their essence follows truly the cosmic laws which are imminently true and just, they will be satisfied and at peace. Passion Lust The person seeking justice and truth very often overdoes their vengeance in their great moral indignation at injustice. Just as they can punish too severely one who has wronged them, they can be even more punishing to themselves when they feel they have failed in justice. Virtue Innocence The excess of revenge on others and on themselves can give way to a childlike innocence, "Why should I want to hurt anyone and why should anyone want to hurt me?" Defense mechanism Denial In order to avoid vulnerability and in order to keep their self image of being strong, 8s will make use of denial. Denial is blocking out negative/vulnerable feelings/needs/thoughts by refusing to accept reality Does that not sound like the way he's stuck in his values?
