Quistis is a strong character that suffers from poor writing at times, and lacks depth in comparison to the other character. It's a shame really, because there is more to her than what seems to be conveyed. A lot of her dialogue is just matter-of-fact statements, questions, or narrating what is happening. That said I see her more as an ISTJ. She seems to think in concrete, factual terms as opposed to anything theoretical or conceptual. She had no grand plans besides becoming a dutiful teacher. She seems like a rather routine and practical character who performs her work diligently. Where is the Ni? I also doubt an INTJ Quistis would call Squall to the balcony in the middle of the night for a chat. This is another example of bad writing. Maybe something was lost in translation because the only thing we got from that interaction was a portrayal of Squall as cold and aloof. It did nothing for her character besides indicate she has a little crush perhaps. Give me a break! The real Quistis in my mind would not do this. To be fair we later learn she wasn't crushing, and it was a more of a younger sibling affection, but this is just more stupidness. By far the worst was when Quistis compromised the Deling City mission to apologize to Rinoa for potentially hurting her feelings. Neither ISTJ nor INTJ Quistis would do this. Completely out of character. Love her anyway though
