It just occurred to me - I played with the Japanese voices in the Definitive Edition due to the VA switchup issues with the English voice acting. I went back and listened to Troy Baker's delivery in English, and I think the difference may contribute to the STP-NTP split. Troy's delivery is more suave and self-assured with a sense that Yuri is on top of most situations. Kosuke Toriumi's delivery is coarser (including even the standard rough male slang - ending statements with -ze, etc) and frequently sounds more surprised/annoyed. For instance, in the scene where Flynn delivers the letter to Don Whitehorse, Troy's Yuri sounds like he gets the gambit quickly and is cool-headed. Kosuke's Yuri sounds like he's at least initially caught off-guard and mad, but knows to hold back because it logically won't help the situation. Similarly, Troy's Yuri sounds like he's deliberated the options and picked the best one before/during the killing scenes, while Kosuke's sounds like he's frustrated at the logic reducing to one highly efficient but murderous option. In general, Kosuke's Yuri sounds reactionary and acting on logical impulse to the immediate events (Ti-Se and more ISTP), while Troy's Yuri sounds like he rapidly or proactively considered the various angles and came to a logical decision (NeTi and more ENTP). Since the script itself often only indicates that Yuri's has decided to do a logical action and not his thought process, different acting can make a different impression. Since I can only vote based on my main impression (and frankly, I do think his overall behavior and lines tilt ISTP, as I argued previously), my vote stays ISTP.
