i'm awaiting the day that people realize that fi users can absolutely have their own subjective values that consist of ideologies such as: taking care of others, prioritizing other's emotional needs, hiding their own emotions (such as to not disturb/worry others), understanding others, & so on. to claim that such concepts are relegated to the realm of fe is to perpetuate extremely harmful stereotypes & to spit in the face of both jung himself & all fi users out there. fi seeks harmony within itself via its own subjective values, & those values CAN include the welfare of others - meaning that, in order for a fi user to have that personal harmony, they must find harmony with others too. the important thing to realize is that fi is defined subjectively, hence it is wildly different for every user. whereas fe focuses on the objective collective values of their chosen groups (NOT "everyone", but ONLY their selected groups that they align themselves with - NOTHING about fe is fundamentally oriented towards "all people" the way the stereotypes proclaim), fi focuses on subjectively determined values that are formed personally. fi does NOT want to enforce those values upon others either (only extremely unhealthy fi will attempt to do so), while fe is actually much more likely to enforce collective values upon others due to it's externalized nature. robin's focus on defining what she believes in & desires for herself first & foremost BEFORE she looks to share it with others is blatant fi. there is no possible way to interpret it as fe unless you're intentionally using stereotypes & intentionally looking to misrepresent what the functions are. robin doesn't desire to ever force her own values upon others (a sign of very healthy, prioritized fi), but she does look to share them with others - she genuinely wants to be able to connect with others & influence them, to help them. she personally values others - it's a subjective value that she has defined for herself. not only that, but the day people realize that thinking about the future &/or philosophizing is NOT actually exclusive to ni in the slightest (it's not even what ni is fundamentally about) will be the day i know peace. ni is NOT about the future or philosophy. if you've read jung & actually understood it, you would know this. ni is a synthesizing function (& honestly... the most delusional function out of them all - not in a good way either). it takes in concrete, objective information & throws away most of the factual details in favor of looking past what exists via the senses so that it can delve into something deeper. it looks for the notions of what lies below the surface & attempts to pull it to the front so it can try to "make sense" of it - except the problem is that ni (like ALL introverted functions) is so subjective that it can rarely be understood. on top of that, it's subjectivity means that no two ni users will ever come to the same conclusion. subjectivity is defined SOLELY by the user. yet robin is someone who, at EVERY SINGLE turn, wants to explore the potentials of what exists. she doesn't prioritize converging upon singularized perception concepts the way that ni does; her singularized ideals are SOLELY related to her subjective values, & those subjective values are ALWAYS open to the potential of more options. she readily & willingly engages with potential & welcomes the idea that multiple different possibilities could exist, & she looks to explore them so that she may understand them. this fundamentally contradicts the very nature of the ni-se axis, which prioritizes convergence based on objective concrete information. robin CANNOT be a ni-se user. typing her anything other than INFP is completely wrong. she does not have fe, nor does she have ni. i've already explained this in more detail in my previous mini-argument: https://www.personality-database.com/comment/9499892?profileID=1695906
