The Phantom of the Opera is an INTJ. In "Music of the Night," he sings to Christine about giving up her mind to the imagination; specifically, that is the dark subconscious (Ni). "Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation. (Se inferior) --Darkness stirs and wakes imagination" (Ni) "Music of the Night" is stating his whole (Ni) plan to make Christine his and take her into his world (lair). (Ni dom/ Se inferior) The Phantom of the Opera lived a life under the opera house, studying his craft into perfectionistic abilities, but doesn't leave, pointing to (Se inferior). An INFP has (Ne) in their second slot. Even though they can stay in one place for a long time, they still need to travel outward to new places/locations and experience the world to contribute to their extroverted intuition. (Ni) is not like that. It's introverted and doesn't need much to stimulate it. Also, INTJ/INFJs like to bring their imaginative findings into the real world thanks to the Ni dom and Se inferior. The phantom makes a mini duplicate stage of the opera house above and plans what he wants to happen (Ni dom). Not to mention that the Phantom has no intention whatsoever to leave the Opera House. He wants Christine to become isolated from the real world and stay with him because he is lonely. He doesn't want her to venture from his personal space. His hyperfocused obsession with Christine is a form of unhealthy Ni, he is suffering from tunnel vision (one-track mind thinking) and he doesn't care about anything else besides his goal to retrieve her. The phantom of the Opera is also unhealthy and impulsive when he doesn't get what he wants. He spends years sending letters to the original owners of the opera house, its predecessors, and everyone he has a problem with, precisely stating everything he wants, along with payment, and leaving box five empty! He sets traps for people, tries to hurt and kill a few people, steals an engagement ring, ties a guy to a fence, and threatens to kill him. He has spent a lifetime alone in his thoughts, and he is unhealthy Ni+Fi looping and singing his feelings through Te, his second slot function. He understands the mechanics of the opera house and uses his knowledge with Te to his advantage by manipulating the stage. He spends the movie trying to lure Christine into his dark imagination (Ni delusions) by preying on her feelings about her father's passing. Seriously, he lets her believe for years that he is her "angel of music," sent from her dead father just to get his way (Ni +Fi). The Phantom of the Opera is intense and very selfish. There's too much (Ni) in the Phantom to ignore. 🎭
