SPOILERS (Well you probably wouldn't be on this profile if you didn't watch the movie already) Why are people voting ISFP? Just because he asked „Who am I?" doesn't automatically make him a Fi dom. He is an accurate depiction of his game counterpart actually, Ni dominant - Movie Shadow primarily thinks through images and reminiscences, he associates whatever is in front of him to a system he is still connected to: The time spent with Maria + her death. This is the only vision of reality he has, it is linear and it never really changes. He feels bad about hurting Tom because Sonic mourning him reminded him that he mourned Maria the same way. A change is provoked only when his underlying system is shook. When Sonic spares him, he remembers that he used to watch the stars with Maria and remembered what Maria said about the light of the stars reaching the Earth way later. That's an essential moment because he deciphered the meaning and acted according to it. That's when he realized that he needed to save the World. If he was a Fi dom he would act only according to his own values, he doesn't really have those though and if he does please give me a good example, he acts according to his underlying system (memories about Maria), not accoridng to some values and identity he estabilished for himself. Te auxiliary: He is very efficient and goal-oriented throughout the movie, no way it is inferior, he has no problem respecting a plan, or even more important, a promise, as demonstrated by "Is this what Maria would've wanted?" . Do not misunderstand his desire for vengeance, it does not stem from himself or his values being stepped on, but from his commitment to Maria. Little examples could also be "I don't have time to this". Fi tertiary: Shadow does have Fi, but as a child function not a hero one, therefore it is still underdeveloped but exploratory: After watching the movie Shadow realizes that he is not treated like others, that he might be a monster, and he's uncertain about it, if he were a Fi dom he would either pride himself on his uniqueness or dwell in misery, but he's neutral about it. His "values" are based come from his underlying system I mentioned above, not the other way around. By the end of the movie he realizes what the "right thing is" First, he associates the reality with his singular vision (Ni), then he takes direct measure according to his duty to that singular vision (Te), then he accepts and classicies it as "the right thing" (Fi) Fueling his Ni and Te. Se inferior: Like in the games, he isn't down-to-Earth, he always takes things to the extreme because of his Ni, that singular perception he has of reality completely obliterates the epicureanistic regulation of Se, he is vulnerable to excess. His underlying reality makes him believe for the most of the movie that he needs to obliterate humanity to take his revenge, and even after he realizes what the "right thing" is he still takes things to extreme by taking his inhibitor rings off and consuming all his strenght into saving the Earth. He also seems to be confused by new environments, like when he walked through Tokyo. He takes refugee in the abandoned ARK because he finds comfort in the representations of his underlying system. Movie Shadow = Game Shadow in terms of personalities. It's hard to believe that some people think this Shadow is closer to Boom Shadow, an actual ISFP.
