Such a vivid and accurate expression of an INFJ. She has a very high use of Ni. For example, her insights about other people’s mind and emotions are always spot on (Auxiliary Fe), and at the end of the movie, she speaks in a very existential manner (an intuitive trait). With her Ni, she dives deep into her existential discussion with Barbie and says that being human can be uncomfortable, and she uses Ti (tertiary function) to come up with the logic that humans create ideas to deal with how uncomfortable being human is, and it’s Ti because she uses her own assumptions and concepts to come up with her own conclusion to a complex sentiment (this sounds very brief but it’s just an example, and she uses Ni-Ti for a lot of things in the film). She also says that she works best at kitchen tables, and it seems that she works best in those areas because there’s very little sensory interruptions, and she has time for solitude (sign of dom Ni and inferior Se). Ruth Handler also has many common INFJ traits including high empathy, lots of wisdom, great insight, and she’s a great listener. During the kitchen scene, after she hands Barbie tea, you can see her staring at Barbie in such a perceptive, interested, and curious manner. This is called “the INFJ stare”, and they do this when they’re very interested in someone or what they’re talking about, that they’re trying to figure out their whole life story, what kind of person they are, and their intentions. And also, doesn’t she just give off INFJ vibes? 😂
