So it seems like my old comment was… Quite inaccurate 😭. To update, I would like to list why i believe Rei is so6 and solidly not an sp5. First upon first, i’d like to clarify that most of the information I stated in my first comment was very inaccurate for one of few reasons. First being that most of the listed evidence being things very universal, such as rei isolating which is an act that all mind types do, all for different reasons. The second being that the information being straight up inaccurate, such as 6s being subjective which is quite literally the exact opposite for a type like So6, which is what I type Rei as. To start off, while Rei DOES isolate because he feels insecure about his abilities so that he could watch from the sidelines, that isnt really.. completely accurate due to the lack of the emotional detachment included with the 5’s isolation. Instead, shown very early on in the story, Rei isolates from society because he views an overwhelming amount of “enemies”. He assumes that everyone out there is only interested in him for his profitability which causes him to immediatly isolate, shown in his first meeting with the producer across multiple games. This also ties in the hypervigaliance of a 6. He is constantly suspicious and looking out to see if the producer is being truthful with him, taking all precautions against the producer and searching for the hidden motives of the producer because of him percieving the producer as a threat, something to suck the soul out of him once again. This hypervigilaince is also shown early on in his searching to confirm if altessimo’s audience is really there for his music, as he percieved them as threats that could betray his trust similarly to the producer. Rei is also CONCIOUSLY holding onto his identity unlike a 5 which does so without the knowledge of such to protect himself from the environment he so greatly fears. Onto the smaller things, while he doesn’t have much ties to authority that could be used to type him, Rei values objectivity, a trait that very much counters Sp6 and points to So6. A closing note, all of these reasons with the exceptions of the valueing objectivity are from how rei was early on in the timeline, where he was most vunerable and unhealthy. He’s grown a Ton now and I could say I am proud of him.
