I get why people would think that ENFPs would be a good match for INTJs, but I strongly disagree with the reasoning behind it. I think ENTPs are a way better match, and here’s why: - As an INTJ, I need a strong intellectual connection, something than ENFPs usually fail to provide. ENTPs, on the contrary, love discussing ideas and they’re able to test the foundations of our Ni-originated ideas and to get on the same level of reasoning as us - thanks to their Te. - I find some - if not most - ENFPs shallow, refusing to think deep thoughts because they’re emotionally overwhelmed by them. ENTPs tend to be less fearsome, and as a result much more complex and interesting (at least according to my own experience). - On the ground of an emotional connection, even though most would argue that it’s a good thing to be with an ENFP because they’re in a way better harmony with their feelings than we are, I feel like the gap in how we perceive those feelings is just too great for their insight to benefit us. Since ENTPs are also rationals, they’ll be better teachers as to how to emotionally relate to one’s surroundings, since they’re closer to us, but still extroverts.
