He is the maestro of the prestigious Shaffer Conservatory jazz band. Despite his distinguished reputation, Fletcher is actually an abrasive, perfectionist, vulgar, and ruthless instructor who is capable of issuing severe physical and psychological abuse to students for even the most minuscule mistake.
