what a fascinating example of fe and ni combating each other! a classic ENFJ, haha. orel is so gosh-darn impressionable, taking most everything others tell him in good faith - fe is most certainly his dominant function. he really wants to be a good person and so takes other people's advice (and rules, and criticisms, and punishments) to heart. interestingly enough, he also has a very strong intuitive moral backbone, represented by his ni. despite being so loyal to everyone around him (for better or for worse), if he truly believes that the courses of action they suggest will be harmful, then he will defy them. orel is usually an obedient child, but there are exceptions. part of why orel causes as much harm as he does is because he is so trusting and optimistic, and so he ends up being oblivious to the real harms of his actions (which, of course, are guided by authority figures in his life whom he listens to so doggedly). this blissfully ignorant demeanor only really starts to slip when his father's misconstruing of religious principles becomes so obviously and dreadfully egregious and cruel that his inner moral compass becomes ticked off. what a fascinating character! he's so sweet and charming, in an almost ridiculous way, but the juxtaposition of that childlike goodness with the rotten, sickening environment he's being raised in is surprisingly compelling. i love you, orel :)
Biyografi
Orel Puppington is the titular main protagonist of Moral Orel. He is a devout Protestant Christian who uses its lessons to navigate life and its hypocrisies. Orel lives in the religious Protestant Christian town of Moralton with his abusive alcoholic father, Clay, his clean-obsessed and emotionally-detached mother, Bloberta, and his neglected 7-year-old half-brother, Shapey. He is optimistic, friendly, open-minded, and a good hearted individual whose life practically revolves around Christian moral codes. However, he is prone to take advice from other adults in town very literally, with disastrous results. #IncorruptablePureGoodness
