𝗘𝗺𝘂 𝗢𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶'𝘀 𝗺𝗯𝘁𝗶 (𝗡𝗲-𝗙𝗶-𝗧𝗲-𝗦𝗶) ➵ ❬ 1/2 ❭ i recently read about the Te/Fi axis and the Fe/Ti axis for my personal use, but i ultimately concluded emu is NeFi ENFP while reading. i know everyone agrees on ENFP Emu, but i noticed almost no one explained her Te or how the Fi/Te axis fits her, which is very important because a function can't work without the other (in this case, her Fi can't be explained without her Te because they work together). this is what my argument is for and i hope this clarifies every doubt regarding her type (especially the Fe vs Fi part) :D ✩ ꒰ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝗺𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶/𝗧𝗲 𝗮𝘅𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲/𝗧𝗶 𝗮𝘅𝗶𝘀 ꒱ ✩ - 𝗘𝗺𝘂'𝘀 𝗙𝗶 ✎ even if it's obvious, i'd still would like to talk about her Fi paired with Te and how it works in her character: "If you have a Te/Fi axis, then you probably relate more to the idea of being lost in frozen tundra, trying to carve out a living for yourself and keep yourself warm. If you are Fi dominant, then your focus is on building the fire, and keeping it going, blowing on the coals to gain more heat. If you are Te dominant, then you are more concerned with building shelter, with carving out an area for yourself, with fighting off dangers and exploring, and otherwise getting control of the environment." let's start from the most tricky part: her Fi. Fi users are able to be as kind and selfless as Fe users. the only difference is that: - Fe users are kind because it *is* objectively right. as someone who uses Fe (EDIT: i discovered i use Fi and not Fe, but the point is still this), Fe's kindness is a bit different from hers: it comes from the belief that being kind and selfless is objectively right and virtuous, a value that *is objectively right* because it is something on which everyone can agree. as a consequence, it *just* is right and nothing else. - Fi users are kind because they see it as something *personally* virtuous. it means that they don't care if kindness is objectively right or wrong, virtuous or not according to what people think, because kindness is a part of their values system, because it is right to *them*. emu's kind and selfless nature fits way more Fi's kindness. you can see that she is the way she is because all of it is virtuous to her. her values are heavily influenced by her grandfather: you can notice it in particular in that ferril wheel scene with tsukasa, where she says "my grandfather always said...", "my grandfather always believed...", etc. you can see she kind of *reincarnates* his kind nature. but it's not because she thinks that is something that everyone agrees on (an objective value - Fe), but because she personally valued and still values that personality trait. his kindness is what impacted emu the most because it *coincided* with *her*, with what *she* values (a subjective value - Fi). this is supported by what it's been said about Fi: "Morality and truth must grow up inside of you first, become a part of your own fire. You can't just adopt a new regimen, you have to nourish it first". we can say that her kindness is her "fire" that she must "let keep going" how the text said. it is not a new regimen that she adopted, but more something that grew up inside herself while her grandfather was still alive, something that she also nourished. "the Te/Fi axis sees objects only for their properties, possessing no warmth or desirability in themselves, but only properties that can be combined scientifically to get certain results. If they are to have desirability, it is because an individual granted them this desirability." this one is also kind of tricky because emu seems to see everything in coloured lens. however, emu *does* find desirability only in some specific places. some examples are the wonder stage or that place from a conversation with tsukasa (a place that used to go with her grandfather. she was afraid that it wasn't there anymore or something like that). that's because those are important to *her*. the desirability these two places have is infact a desirability that *she* gave them. you can see she doesn't see the rest with the same heart eyes with which she sees these two places. she doesn't see them in a pessimistic way, but she surely doesn't see everything in the same way. infact, the description adds "But then, they only are desirable to that person, and not necessarily to you.", which affirms that the Fi user sees desirability *only* when they give it, which is what Emu does.
