SP8s are reserved and economical with words and if someone constantly needs to explain themselves, attention seeking or dramatize things, they're probably not this subtype. 𝟐) 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬? 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 "We could say that his need is that of an exaggerated selfishness." This is one of the most self centered subtypes. If someone prioritizes others' well being or seems emotionally generous by default, they're unlikely to be a SP8. 𝟑) 𝐂𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭? 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨 "He knows how to survive in the most difficult situations. He knows how to get things, how to get away with it." SP8s are resourceful and pragmatic survivors, if someone is passive, dependent or clueless when it comes to navigating real life challenges, they're not this type. 4) 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒄? 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆 "It is necessary to understand that love exists and that, in principle, for us it is a completely unknown experience." SP8s are emotionally disconnected and they don't idealize love or intimacy. If someone is sentimental or craves connection as a source of identity, that's not a SP8 5) 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒚? 𝑵𝒐 𝒘𝒂𝒚 "This generous offer imposes the condition that things always be done our way […] we call this loyalty" Even their kindness has strings. If someone allows others full autonomy, encourages freedom of thought and doesn't impose control, they're clearly not this subtype. 6) 𝑰𝒔 𝒐𝒌𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕? 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕 "The word that corresponds to it is satisfaction: I have to have it. This is mine." SP8s don't handle frustration well, they need to possess and claim what they desire. If someone lets go easily or accepts unmet desires, they're not this subtype. 7) 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒌? 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆 "Stopping the momentum also means giving others the opportunity to see us devoid of the power with which we invest ourselves." This subtype fears losing their sense of power and if someone is open about their limits, failures or insecurities, they're unlikely to be a SP8. 8)𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉? 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒕. "It is necessary to assume the use that is made, with total contempt, of people and their lives, both emotionally and physically, for their own benefit." SP8s may manipulate, dominate or exploit without even noticing it ,it's part of the survival reflex. If someone is genuinely altruistic or avoids power games altogether, they're clearly not this subtype. 9) 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚? 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 "The conservation Eight also needs to open ourselves to the understanding that, in reality, there is something more than the purely material and physical … That love exists and that, in principle, for us it is a completely unknown experience." - Juanjo Albert, 27 Personalities in Search of Being SP8s are not naturally spiritual, mystical or idealistic. They distrust the emotional language of religion, view rules with suspicion and tend to reject any authority they didn't create themselves. If they do embrace a faith or moral system, it's usually for pragmatic reasons: to build influence, gain social capital or secure dominance. They may become the protector of a church, the patriarch of a traditionalist family or even align with strict ideologies, but only when these serve their own survival, loyalty structures, or image of control. If someone converts out of guilt, longing, or a need for moral purification or talks about being "chosen," "saved," or "led to the light" they're very unlikely to be a SP8. That's more in line with a fearful SX6, a guilt ridden SO1 or even a dramatic SX4 seeking a transcendent narrative. 10) 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒃𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 "It is more an intolerance of the frustration of what he wants to have than the actual having of it." -Claudio Naranjo "We conservation E8s also need to recognize that generous group protection… is more than a way for us to secure our status and hide insecurity." -Juanjo Albert Here Juanjo confirms that status is not the main goal, but merely a MEAN to material security and control. If someone is driven by a desire for reputation, public respect or visibility, it's a sign that they are another type ,SP8 might even look down on those who live for image, status is tolerated if it helps maintain power, but never worshipped

In this subtype, the Eight’s aggressiveness and excess (lust) are channeled into physical survival and material security. In a hostile world, the self-preservation Eight will either win or go down fighting. Fiercely protective of friends and family, this subtype can establish more territory and stockpile more supplies than anyone, but in a friendly world, may miss the boat altogether.
