Khdaoudj was a young princess whom nature had greatly spoiled. She was the adored daughter of Hassan Khaznadji, the treasurer of the Dey Mohamed Ben Othman. It is said that by dint of admiring herself for hours, in her mirror, she became blind. This is where Khdaoudj El Amia would have lived until the end of her days, without ever being able to admire the Delf earthenware tiles, nor the rosewood, nor the marble columns...
