[moving this from Nel's original profile] Okay hear me out on this - while I do think baby Nel is likely an ENFP, I actually think that Nelliel in her adult form seems to be a Ni-Ti INFJ looper, which is potentially supposed to contrast Nnoitora's Se-Fi. dom Ni / inf Se: believes a warrior should follow higher principles to differentiate themself from a beast • searches for a higher purpose and meaning in battle • orderly • views Hollows as part of an evolutionary hierarchy and assumes her place in it responsibly (reminding Nnoitora that he should not needlessly kill Hollows as the two of them used to be mere Hollows themselves, following Nnoitora around because he is weaker than her to make sure he does not wreak havoc) • acts with precision and obeys orders from superiors if they prove worthy (protesting against Nnoitora's failure to follow Aizen's exact orders by him killing a colony of Hollows who weren't originally targeted) • criticises Nnoitora's battle philosophy for revolving around nothing more than chasing after a fleeting rush • averse to chaotic and instinctive behaviour (viewing fighting for the sake of domination as crude and animalistic, hating to engage in combat altogether despite her position as a high-ranking Espada (noted by Pesche and Dondochakka)) • judgmental of reckless behaviour (referring to Nnoitora's belligerency as suicidal tendencies after saving him from a Hollow attack) • acts impulsively during stress (losing composure and immediately charging at Nnoitora after realising what he'd done to her Fracciones (manga)) • fails to see how her dismissive attitude obviously contributes to Nnoitora's behaviour and is ultimately caught off-guard by his resulting actions (her allies being violated and her being "defeated" by him) aux Ti: • level-headed and analytical • constantly points out that turning from Hollows into Arrancars means they've regained their sense of **reasoning** and that fighting without a reason is irrational • dismissive of Nnoitora's emotional perspective (Fe) (refusing to fight Nnoitora because she does not acknowledge his hatred of her (Fi) as a valid reason for conflict on his part) • emotionally insensitive, does not innately understand how her rationalising further contributes to Nnoitora's agitation (blatantly invalidating his feelings by calling him childish, belittling him by referring to him as unworthy, approving of Aizen (who is seen as power incarnate) in front of a man who struggles to accept his lack of ability) • guided by logic over moral concern (asking Nnoitora why he killed a colony of Arrancars (her main point being that he was not ordered to do so), protecting Nnoitora from a Hollow (the reason being to prevent the Espada from losing a soldier)) • seeks to understand the underlying causes of others' motivations (asking Nnoitora what drives his aggression, following him around as if to study him) • prone to over-intellectualising (Nnoitora claims she overthinks simple matters) • generally dispassionate and difficult to provoke Her detached and collected bearing, her inquisitive stance towards those who are different from her, and her strict adherence to rules all remind me of Ulquiorra (who I think is a Ti-Si INTP). Unlike Ulquiorra, though, she ultimately didn't seem to be able to see things from other people's perspective (Ne) very well (speaking mostly based on the anime since I haven't finished the manga but may return to this). Can anyone give any example(s) of Inferior Ti?
