At this stage of human development, as the rarest stage, it is hardest to explain. It is seen in individuals, but yet to be seen in wider societies. How was this developmental psychology studied, you ask? Basically thousands from about every culture were interviewed on their worldview and life philosophy. What was discovered is that everyone’s worldview changes and expands in predictable stages. You cannot reach a stage before moving on to the next stage, and so began Spiral Dynamics. The theories of Stage Yellow begin to demand some level of deep social understanding from the big picture, as INFJs are skilled in, to be able to pass on so much complex theories in a way that people can work together somehow with it. As INFJs often are, strong emotional intelligence and analytical skills are discovered here. At this level, intuition is combined with logic. It is not the type of “intuition” or “following your heart,” that Stage Orange sees in rigid Stage Blue people, which is not really an independent type of intuition as Ni users often make use of. Intuition here is used more to make decisions between various logic research options, rather than make information appear out of thin air. This equal respect for both logic and emotion seems completely heretical or “overly sappy,” in many earlier stages, but this union is what allows complicated decisions with too many complicated factors to be made. Hence the emphasis on meditation, which both trains the emotional and thinking parts of the brain to work together (Look up scientific benefits to meditation.) Controversial parts of science gets explored much here, such as the supernatural, much to the frustration of everyone under Stage Green. This is not a return to Stage Purple superstition, but the understanding that science changes over time, and while much is rejected out of skepticism as blind faith, a few makes people think otherwise.
