Sharon Vonne Stone (born March 10, 1958) is an American actor, film producer, and former fashion model. A native Pennsylvanian, she modeled in Paris and Milan before pursuing an acting career. She's most famous for playing Femme Fatale Catherine Tramell in the 1992 erotic thriller Basic Instinct. Afterwards, she starred in several similar films, but none could replicate Basic Instinct's success. However, she also received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Martin Scorsese's crime drama Casino.
